I keep seeing them in my dreams, a type of Cyberware that hugs the spine. They look like metal vertebrae with a deep groove down the centre where long blades sit flat to the back and can rise and fall like the way a cat's hackles bristle. They can also clatter noisily against each other, like a snake rattle, making a lot of threatening noise. They appear to be there as psychological warfare but have the bonus of discouraging getting grappled from behind.
They're usually paired with metal claws that have no consistent length, sometimes just fingertip claws and other times more than ten inches or so, as well as tooth caps that shape the canines into fangs. Some sort of ocular hud with the side effect of causing an eye glow and a 'sparker' which is basically just a flint and steel on the roof of the mouth that can set fire to things.
Granted these features only seem to appear when I'm human or at least vaguely humanoid in my dreams, but I can't draw people very well so I figured I'd slap an example of what it looks like down on my sona to get a better idea of what I've been seeing.
I'm blaming Cyberpunk 2077 for these enhancements.
