So, driven by a rush of motivation that hit me like a truck, I ended up going back to make a few edits to this image, which itself spurned off me wanting to do a redraw of this from August 2021 as more current take on Kalil's original design, that never really went anywhere before he was redesigned.

Now, of course, said edits as you can see, consist of heavy alterations to that snazzy reptilian arm he's got! Not that I was displeased with the old one, buuut it felt too plain for my liking, and I feel didn't give much leeway toward the possibility of me ever making a full dragon form out of it since it was... well, a solid grey color with nothing else.

Thus I ended up upping the scale pattern and making them a bright gold, adding countershading at the fingertips, integrating some glowy, curved light markings to contrast the current Kalil's geometric diamonds some of his form's have -- and, yeah. He's... probably a different character entirely at this point, not so much a human who can turn into a dragon -- but rather a dragon who ended up getting manually compressed into a human shape, aaaand his arm is the only remnant, at least before he ends up learning how to awaken his true form again >:P

Okay okay I have few more notes to ramble about to drive in the details and the cross-referencing I did -- you'll notice the little white streaks in his otherwise perfect head of luscious blue hair, that was meant to call back to how the current incarnation of Kalil has usually ranged from being depicted with either full blue hair, to a bright silvery white. To simplify it down for Kalil's human self, blue hair equates full human without power, and any amount of white hair points to special draconic blood, and its awakening... which the circumstances and bridging of that idea I attempted to detail here in this story from a while ago.

Hence, the boy here's got some silver strands -- maybe his hair'll get more white as he regains more of his original power? Who knows!

Long winded description aside, I have another alt with horns and wings, and two other forms because the brainrot hit that hard. Expect more of this alternate, more-cohesive Kalil to appear in the future!

And finally -- just to really drive in the divergence from his other incarnation -- while Kalil may have been a name he held at some point, I'm gonna make it a habit of calling this boy Lakiel in future pieces so things aren't as confusing. Especially if I ever feature him and Kalil in a piece together
