Introducing Khari, practitioner of shamanistic magic and a member of the Sisterhood of the Broken Shackle, introduced at the end of the first book, and taking on a starring role in the upcoming release of the sequel! Khari is born of the Amalhe clan, into their shamanistic cast; she draws power from the world of spirits and is capable of communicating with the spirits of the departed for wisdom and power as she requires it. She is also capable of separating her spirit from her body to walk the astral plane; a parallel of the living world, and though she cannot interact with the world in this form, she can see it as a spirit - though her body is left vulnerable during this time.
Khari is rather shy. She's very quiet by nature, usually only speaking when spoken to, but she is brave and devoted to her people and her newfound family among the Sisterhood.
The scar around her neck was a brand inflicted on her by an enchanted collar, during her time in captivity under the Prodavians. The collar carried a foul enchantment that would heat it up every time she attempted to speak; during the uprising led by Devaki, even at the risk of losing her voice entirely, she endured the pain to aid the Sisterhood, and became their first equine member.
I wanted to get a ref pic of her first, as she will be featured on the cover of the upcoming book which I hope to release by the end of this year!
