So I woke up one day (last night as of writing this.) to see a notification from my friend. I check the message, and what do you know? it's a cute little drawing of my lizard, but as a slugcat. Drawn by that same friend of mine who.. well, has drawn most of my latest character art.
I've been somewhat obsessed about Rainworld lately, it's an absolutely incredible game and this friend also enjoys this game a lot. It's a one hell of a unique game, and a first time experience of it made me feel an entire rollercoaster of emotions. Finally beating my first playthrough after *years* left me with that hole I feel, sometimes, after finishing such an experience. I was left processing that for a few days, partly wishing I could experience it again for the first time. It's a damn good game, one I'd recommend everyone play but knowing full well a lot of people would bounce off.
Bad timing, I suppose, given the whole shit Unity is trying to pull and Rainworld possibly being made unavailable due to how horrific the pricing models of Unity are gonna be.
This wouldn't just effect rainworld, obviously, it'd effect.. well, everyone who makes a game on Unity. Late-stage capitalism never ceases to do absolutely horrid shit, it seems.
