I got a new coat, and it's a perfect fit, like, -perfect- fit over the top of my fursuit :D
So about 3 weeks back from upload, I was at a LARP event, the big one of the year for the system. One of the vendors is sorta thrift store/charity shop vibes, in that it's an eclectic mess of almost anything when it comes down the LARP costume kit. There was everything in there from napoleonic jackets (my partner grabbed one of those) to basic tunics, things in velvet, to more modern stuff like this coat.
It was in borderline perfect condition (I might see about reinforcing a button or two) and for the quality an absolute bargin at £70, so I grabbed it because I needed a proper thick warm coat for nighttime.
It is apparently an RAF greatcoat from the 1950s or so from what friends have told me, potentially at Master Sergeant rank but I've not been able to confirm that yet. Regardless, really like this coat, very comfy and cozy. Some really good pockets in it too :D
And, by sheer coincidence and miracle, it fits perfectly over Zariel, and it is now immediately his default coat as far as I'm concerned unless I can manage basically the exact same in a shade of earthy green :P
