This was a very personal piece. and something that i've been dealing with for days. I had him for 15 long happy years ad never knew how old he was when i got him.

My final goodbye.

My boy stormy couldn't fly. he had an injury to his wing from the early years i had him and was never able to fly. nor do i think he even knew how to. But he still tried anyways. he was so active. He would climb super fast. and move like the wind. he was so active. He loved to play and play. near the end he slowly became stagnant and didn't move much, and at the very end... not at all. just sat at the bottom of the cage. It was hard to see him like that. But i must have been harder on him. On the very last day of his life he had a final burst of energy. Ate berries, played with his favorite yellow bell! and climbed.... oh he climbed...

and then. he was gone. His soul parted from his body and he could finally fly. I try not to be so sad, he's finally free and able to see the skies. But i miss him so much.

This piece is for my finally goodbye to my son Stormy. mama loves you. and always will. Goodbye my brave boy.
