Here we go! Another great piece done by the wonderful https://twitter.com/0kaliz. Seriously, her stuff is so cozy and wonderful. I adore the lighting in this one especially. If you have not seen her stuff, seriously go check her out!!! Anyways, with this piece I was able to write a cute little something that will help give a touch more insight into my little librarian Alice here. Hope you all enjoy ^^
Alice was always your typical well behaved canine pup when she was younger. She always went to bed on time, brushed her teeth, and ate all her meals. She made sure her room was well cleaned, and did all her chores! She even went out and helped with the shopping, like any good pup should! After all, it was her grandfather that raised her well, like he promised to after her parents had passed. He raised her very well, making sure she had what she needed growing up as well. Though that was already a bit of a unique scenario. The young pup lived in what was known as the “Avarie Archives” founded by her great-great-grandfather Abraham Avarie. Well, at least the manor that the Archives reside in was built by him, and the collection started there. But it was her grandfather Alistair that had converted the left wing of the manor and converted it into a bigger open library for the public to come and view the interesting collection that had built up over the family's many adventures. So, it was safe to say the young canine grew up as a bookworm. Any1 manuscript, tome, or novel that she could get her little paws on was fair game for her.
And being so young, she had all the time in the world to read as much as she wanted. She read in the morning during breakfast, she read on the way to school, she read between classes in the halls. She read during lunch and recess. She would read going back home, and begrudgingly she would stop reading to eat dinner with Grandpa and tell him about her day (and all the things she had read.) And finally she would read in bed at night. Though, the selection of books she was allowed to read always felt so small, to her. So this was when she developed a bad habit. She would sneak out of bed, and head to the left wing, and she would find a book to read, curled up on a chair under the soft warm glow of the tabletop light. Of course, her Grandpa knew of this devious habit of hers, but he would let it slide. She usually fell asleep after a few pages and he would let her sleep there for the night, pretending to not know of her “secret” late night reading sessions.
Even now she continues to do so, though she has grown into a fine young lady at this point. Working happily alongside her grandfather in the Archives. She still sneaks over to the left wing every night to partake in this little late night secret of hers. Something about it, the habit, feels comforting to her. Slipping out of bed and putting on her morning dress, lightly tiptoeing down the hall with bare feet. Gently slipping a book, or two or three, off the shelf. And then curling up on that plush chair, under the warm light to read. Now that she is busier in the mornings, night time is the only real time she can read now. But now she finds herself waking up in her own bed, instead of on that little plush chair.
And if you made it down here, once again BIG big thanks to Okaliz for this piece! And thank you anyone who read through it. And thanks to anyone who just stopped by to see the gal!

The story of this dog girl is very beautiful and warms that spirit of having habits about the things you like to do. Nice story, character and drawing. It's great and I hope to see more drawings of her in the future and the artist has been great to convey so many feelings in one drawing :3
