Here's a variant of an illustration I've got up on the latest chapter of "The Glass Goose", showing the un-masked faces of the delegation of Spontoonie priestesses who've come forth to take the measure of the story's protagonists in a night time confrontation.

Take a little tropical vacation from the comfort of your own home, while the weather (at least here in the US) is still so cold and drippy.

Thanks! Glad you like 'em.
Hakoakala doubtless lost her eye to some form of dangerous sea life, although the poor critter probably suffered the worst of the exchange. There's a reason the sharks swim a little faster past the reefs off the shore of her village. If you asked her directly you'd just get twice the glare from the remaining eye.
Nobody really knows how old Etsuko is, and you'll get a different story each time you ask 'cos she's an inveterate joker. She's never been a leader among the Wise Ones, but her insights (usually accompanied by a barrage of wisecracks) are well heeded when they gather at council. Her job seems to be to keep her sisters in spirit from taking everything too seriously.
