I picked up an adoptablefrom Gobithedogsadopts a while back, and honestly was just over the moon about it lmao. This form really resonates as another sona form for me, but my brain has a pesky habit of taking designs I like and giving them their own personalities before I can get a hang of it. So it's always been a little hard to keep a sona form for myself that doesn't branch off into being a separate character as well somewhere down the line (Spot and Sugar went through the same things, lmao).
But, there's this really wonderful comic called The Property of Hate that I absolutely adore. In it, characters can at times swap around body parts and other objects to try to create themselves the way they're meant to be/would like to be. When they acquire a new part to be a piece of them, there's a bit of a ritual to accepting it, and once done it becomes tied to them. The line "It is me, it is mine" is a part of that process, and it was in my head the whole time I drew this trying to get my mind to accept this form as another avatar for myself and not create some alternate character to take it over.
(It's been a few months now, so I think I can officially say: It worked <3)
