Those who have been watching my art for a long time (or remember the last iteration of my website) may recognize this character.
Her name is Current, and she's a small cybernetic felinoid - meant to be a personal assistant, with an artificial intelligence, data storage capacity and audio playback... and probably a few other things. I've done redesigns of the character throughout time - at first she had an AC plug at the end of her tail, which was later upgraded to USB, which I've kept. Also since her last iteration, I've given her SD card slots and a headphone jack. The controls on her forearms are for her own use for adjusting her settings and whatnot.. as they would be too tiny for the user to interface with.
It was fun to draw her again... =) I'm thinking about revisiting more of my old characters.
The art was done with Pentel brushpen, micron pen, copic markers, acrylic paints and gel pen on 9"x12" bristol board.

Thank you =D.. And yeah, I guess her design changes along with current technology - I guess she is less of a distinct character, and more of an evolving product-line with different release designs =). Since I've 'upgraded' her 3 times, this would be her fourth version =)
No I didn't but I'm actually in the middle of designing a skin for the new villian that showed up in the season 2 finale of my little pony. I've already done several other skins as well. like this one

The other skins I've done are in my gallery here on FA. I'm pretty sure ther are download links there, but if they dont work pm me your email and I'll send them over.

Sort of like the anime "Hand Maid May"? http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/enc.....nime.php?id=29
I wish it were more about the technology of the Chobits themselves than all about some robot chick falling in love O.< So, if you're into that really long drawn-out "hopefully they hook up in the very last book" sort of thing XD I would suggest it. Otherwise... eh~ lol
Which is why I like this version better :D It seems better thought-out to me ♥

I just love this idea. Wish things like her were actually real. Not only would she be the coolest music player around, i'm sure she could help me a ton in FL Studio. Things like being nowhere near my computer, I get a tune in my head so I hum it and plug her in later to put it in FL. Do want hehe.
Now that's an interesting little character. And pretty cute to. And unlike your other data storage devices, you'll never lose her, because she can always call you and tell you where you left her behind. Just keep her away from your pets.
And, with the right modifications, she can make a perfect spy. She's practically too small to be seen unless you're looking for her, and she is a data storage unit after all. She can plug into a computer, search it, download info, and be gone before anyone realizes.

I remember her. I always thought she had a fun design and it's kind of interesting to see how that has been tweaked and upgraded over the years. I still think her plug tail is probably her neatest feature. I don't think I ever knew she had a set purpose, though. She sounds like she'd be a really handy gal to have around.
I'd love to see you revisit some more of your old characters again. You had some really pretty ones.

I know my character would fall in love with her. He is a machine builder and inventor who loves any sort of technology. He might look creepy at first because he would stare at her with a smitten face for a long time, but probably not say anything because of his shyness.
The picture itself is amazing. I love both the style of the drawing, as well as the detail put into her outfit. Awesome stuff.

Wow Kacey really nice work.
I have been watching your art for a long time now but this is easlyone of my all time favorites.
It some what reminds me of te OS tans, only she is a lot cuter. I actualy think it's so cute I would like to make my own litle version of it, if you want I can send you the result. offcourse all the credits for the original goes to you.
Also that pose is extreamly well done, she looks verry sexy becouse of it.
This one drawing also gives the term 'dressing down the OS' an entirely difrent meaning XD (Sorry the joke had to be made)

That's SUPER cute! I know you made this WAY BEFORE iprobably even had an inkling, but I do have a backburner charrie with a plugtail I keep wanting to do more art of..I hope it doesn't offend you if it strikes some inspiration! http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5373002/ :3
I really like the asymmetric design she has, makes the appeal of the character all the more instantly recognizable. The blues and purples also really work well together color-scheme wise.
That and if she has an organizing program or something, might I be able to grab a copy? My desk is a mess and could use the extra help. Lol. Excellent job though. :)

I remember this character. I love her current design (no pun intended), she so adorable! I can envision a "business pro" version where she wears a tiny business suit and is not only capable of holding a four-hour meeting's worth of presentations, videos, notes, and spreadsheets, but can also cross-index them to help people keep track of the bewildering mass of data.
(this is a bit nerdy, but bear with me)
When you plug a new USB stick (or another storage device) into win Vista or 7, it will test its performance for random reads and writes all over the disc, to see if it's fast enough for ReadyBoost. (ReadyBoost makes windows run faster)
So it it's randomly reading and writing little bits of information all over her drive, at max speed. I like to imagine her reaction because that's just got to tickle!

Yeah it is. I read up on readyboost recently, that's where the idea came from. But from this 'ticking' idea, it spawned the idea that when you plug her (or she plugs herself) into a computer, and she would then feel what happens, what the computer is doing with her, much like we feel the things we touch or things that touch us. Like what happens to her in the digital domain is just as tangible to her, as the sense of touch is to us.
Brings a whole new dimension to this character, for me.
(And she is beautiful! Did I mention she is beautiful? )
