Good news, everyone! I - TulipSquirrel - have arrived with even more art created by commissioners! Check it out!
As you can see before you, today's picture is that of the active athlete herself, Nina North. Back when I was making Breeding Bunnies, Nina was not only the first bunny I wrote about, but she was the first one I created. I remember the focus on her being her eyes. It's something I paid a lot of attention to in the stories featuring Nina; that she has rather sharp eyes. I just imagined she was the kind of person who'd look at you with these sharp eyes and this smirk on her lips. That's how I imagined her first, anyway. Before I came up with her job or anything, I just thought about those eyes.
Those damn eyes!
Anyway, Nina has an interesting story behind her. I've said this before, but more than a few of my stories are either inspired by, or borrow whole-sale from RPs I'm a part of. Nina is a stealth reference to one, being the cousin to another character in my RPs (and a character who appears a few times in my stories) named Veronica North. I remember asking my friend if I could use the North family name, and they were like 'Yeah, sure'. And... that's how Nina came to be!
Nina's a fitness trainer who lives in Document City, and is someone who is very passionate about her job. She can be often times found at the park, or the gym, just running, or stretching, or working out in general! But aside from that, I kind of imagine Nina as having this 'girl next door' kind of energy to her. She's incredibly kind and super friendly. No doubt the friendliest of all the bunnies in Breeding Bunnies!
I remember when I first wrote BB, I was super afraid that Nina would come off as being the blandest of the group. This is a common fear I have with stories that have multiple characters like that. I fear as if one of them will come off as being less interesting at the others. Since Nina was the first, that means I was still getting the handle of writing BB, and hadn't really come up with anything concrete yet. By the time I got to the next two parts with Anna and Erica, I had a better idea of how Theodore - the main character - was, and could come up with interesting characters for him to play off of. With all that being said, I was afraid that Nina wouldn't be as interesting as Anna, or Erica, or Luna.
But then I got a comment from FinaLapel talking about how Nina was one of their favorites in the story, and that really made my day! I really enjoy Nina. Just this sprightly little bunny rabbit who's both friendly and really loves fitness, is just really cute! And really, I think this picture brings out Nina's cuteness really well!
Speaking of this picture, it comes to us from an artist over on Twitter named Kimagure_Ilya. Nina was actually the first bunny I got commissioned, but it took a while for her to show up, which is why Erica came first. But ya'know what? The wait was more than worth it! Nina looks so amazing, that I'm happy Kimagure_Ilya took their time to make her!
Another thing about this picture... I totally didn't mean to get a whole character sheet done. I only wanted the one picture of Nina, but I accidentally got the character sheet. How, you may ask? Poor communication on my part, honestly. But, again, totally worth it!

Alright, that's all out of me. Again, this is an amazing picture, and seeing it in its full glory inspires me. I've been thinking about really hitting the BB well soon and writing those more personal and in depth stories about them, so don't be surprised if they start coming out soon. And also don't be surprised if you start seeing more art in the near future. I still have commissions coming, so please, look forward to them! I know I will be!
