Hmm...good question! xD I may evolve this one completely, then breed him and keep his baby as a Snivy. x3 I usually evolve my starters all the way.

This is a really good picture of him! I wish I had more time to snap photos but there were too many people, and I felt bad for my friends (who may have felt obligated to stick around if I did, even after I got my photo). Oh well, I like this a lot though. =)

lol it's when you're about to take on the first gym leader(s) depending on which starter you get, a gym leader with the advantage type Fire if you chose Grass, Water if you chose Fire, and Grass if you chose Water. but before you want to face them, to the right of the city is the Dreamyard (or somethin like that) and the trainer on the far end will give you a pokemon that will help you defeat the advantage type, so in your case, you'd get a Water version of what i got. I got the fire version since i chose water.

of course you probably knew all that by now X3

OH SMUGLEAF, I LOVE YOU. <3 Snivy is my favorite Pokemon (right up there with Lucario and Mew), and I'm gonna be doing a gijinka cosplay on him for our local anime con this year. Too bad I couldn't fork over the cash for a suit like THAT one, though I imagine it'd be terribly hot inside, unless there's a fan in there. You always gotta wonder about commercial suits like that one.

And oh, my Snivy is in his final stage evolution, Serperior, and he's level 41. Just had to add that. Sorry for the double post. XP
