It would be better to get a new head with the suit just to make sure that the colors are at the best match.

If ever do a fursuit, I want to install some mini fans, to keep me from burning up. It looks really good though.

Though costly, to avoid the fans ruffling the fur visibly, pick up some spare Peltier Coolers (these used to be used in the electronics/computer industry to cool some of the earlier chips). They are electrically-chilled ceramic. Use these and a small, well-insulated pump to pipe cold water through an undersuit. It'll act like one of NASA's LCGs (Liquid Cooling Garments) and will keep your core reasonably cool.

I dunno if this will be easy to do, but it is an idea. Good luck!

Very interesting product. I hadn't been aware of such things, hence my home-made LCG suggestion. I agree with your assessment, then: it should be used. It would simplify mid-term cooling excellently.

With the right materials, and the right artist, you can probably actually get a completly one-piece jaw structure with no obvious juncture between upper and lower jaws.

The cheekbones scare me. o.o But otherwise, I'd say it's an excellent design. Hope the final product turns out that good when you get it made. :)

You wouldn't see the cheekbones in the actual head. I was just showing the shape where the jaws separate.

Oops. Also, it differs from my old mask design because it has less chunks of foam hair to fiddle with. It's missing the bangs that hang over the eyes, which here are just the ones that tuck between the cheek ruffs and ears.

I'm really psyched up with the talks I have with the fursuit studio that I'm comissioning.

Not to sound like a suck-up or anything, but I think that the amount of detail and planning you put into the design is going to help it turn out so well. I've seen your past Roxi costumes and always thought that they looked great; much better than what I usually think of when it comes to the fursuit parades and such, the sort of giant mascot look.

... if I ever get a sports team I totally want a Roxi mascot. I'd be fired instantly but it would be so worth it.

aww, shame that the current ones breaking, but Im sure the new one will be just as good, if not better (It looks it so far from these sketches). If you dont mind me asking btw, how much was the current head? ^^;;;

Ooh....maybe you should put a small dab of glitter on each eye to make you have that sparkly oh so cuuuuuuuteeee pair of eyes. ;) I really like the longer hair (frost it!) and the idea of recessing the eyes a bit.

I'm really bored with waiting on moulds of my current project to cure, so I've started working on Roxi's head on the side. Just an FYI- so that we get a nice lower jaw articulation, without having to have the huge cut up through the cheeks(So to keep the mouth more natural looking) I'm going to doubleback the spandex in that area in case it wears down(Which it will, I'm sure, hopefully this will slow the process down :) ), also I need to make the exoskeleton of the lower jaw out of something hard- so the lower jaw might be a little heavy, maybe.. an eighth of a pound? Going to line it with apoxie sculpt and use elastic to make the jaw motion just faboo. Anyways- gotta run and start on that balaclava for you :) Email me the exact width between your eyes(inside corner to inside corner) within the next few days. Can't wait to show you pix.

With a tape measure bent over the bridge of my nose, the distance between my eyes from corner of tear duct to the other is 2 and 1/16 inches. Without bending the tape measure, it's about 1 1/2 inches. I can't see exactly because it's right next to my fricken' eyes. :)

Your head is all foamed except for the hair that goes on the back :3 Just giving you a heads up. I will get my camera back from mirabem at the soonest convenience XD Will take some old school pix until then or something :)

Thankee, ArtSlave! I'm really excited! Last weekend I was having fun carving foam for a friend's fursuit head muzzle. Although he still needs to buy a nylon balaclava and not the heavy wool ski mask he's got. I'm tempted to build a new character for myself to see what I've learned this year.

Sweet! Also, at some point in time after I take some disposabl ecam pix or somethin I will need you to sign on and tell me if everything looks okay. I messed with her hairstyle a little bit(Not too much, it still looks the same) just so everything fits on the head neatly and has some bounce/curl to it. I'll just need your OK before I start uh.. 'furring'? 'spandexing'? lol.. the head and finalise it :)
