An update on what's been going on!
🌈ARTIST LIFE UPDATE (long)🌈
Heya guys!
Just wanted to give an overview of what's been going on in and out of the office lately. As some of you know, I've been struggling with getting properly medicated for my ADHD. I've also recently injured my right shoulder (which holds my drawing arm) from falling off my horse, which as you can imagine isn't helping the situation. It's restricted to a sling and hurts a good bit, but I can still hold a pen, so. 😈
I want to remind my commissioners they may request a refund at any time. My ADHD makes my memory very odd, and I'm not always able to fight the "task paralysis" when it hits. Expect delays, and if you don't want to wait, please contact me for a refund, and we'll get it done! I'd rather be broke than have unhappy clients. I'm working on reaching out to commissioners individually to ensure everyone is updated properly.
I've been keeping my queue small and it's a very manageable size now, but the ADHD makes normal/easy things very hard. For this reason, I'm stepping away from offering custom commissions (not forever, don't panic lol) and focusing on character design, YCH's, and merch. Managing a shop of items is much better for my mental health right now, than having a backlog of owed work. If you have ADHD, you understand. Custom commissions will return in the future, once I'm more capable of managing those projects.
I have so many huge ideas and so much drive to try and create all the cool ideas I have in my head, but the need for money and healthcare means my focus has to stay on cash flow right now. I'm doing everything I can to generate funds to stay afloat, but it's been a constant struggle.

Sorry if this update was kinda depressing, but I wanted to provide a reason for my recent slowness. Additionally, I wanted to THANK you guys, anyone who's 1. read this far, and 2. has stuck with me through all my nonsense and trial-and-error (and everyone else, too.) Seeing ya'll enjoying characters I made and being excited for my artwork is the reason I wake up in the morning.
Art, I believe, is my core passion. It's been with me since I was tiny. So I'm working through this ADHD, shoulder injury, etc. because the last thing I want to do is stop making art. Productivity may be down, but artist morale is still very high! I look forward to all the creative possibilities the future will bring, and I hope you will continue to be excited with me.
