The eyes actually do function as a sort of projector if desired. :)

I'm curious, what's his skin like? Is it soft and rubbery? I'm guessing it's translucent since we can 'see' his emotions.

Yes. Soft and rubbery and warm! It's transluscent only in certain spots, and gets denser closer to his main body. So something would have to be...SUPER WRONG for his entire body to glow. Like that would never happen. Make sense?
