Saffy and Gem are cousins and this is just a little pic and story to go with their first meeting after Saffy's regression. The two of them are slightly more cartoony than normal. I guess cause it was a quick sketch rather than a proper peice. Sorry bout that.
Anyway on with the story...
Saffy really didn't want to go to her cousin's house for a sleepover. It wasn't that Saffy didn't like Gem. The 18 month old little squirrel girl was actually quite cool when Saffy had been 25. But Saffy was no longer 25 in fact Saffy had regressed dangerously close to Gem's age and she didn't want to be treated like some little baby.
She sulked all the way to Gems house. Strapped into the toddler booster seat in the back of the car she tried to reason with her Mom with several different excuses why she couldn't spend the night. But her Mom had already made up her mind and Saffy found herself no longer in control of the decision.
Soon they were at Gem's house and Saffy hid behind her Mom's tall legs as they waited at the front door. Saffy's uncle Simon answered the door and smiled when he saw the newly regressed Saffy.
He grinned at Saffy's Mom.
“My goodness she's adorable. Just like when she was that age the first time round.” Saffy blushed as she was led inside. He was talking over her head as if she couldn't understand a word he said. She may look like a child but she had all her adult faculties intact...well most of them. She was conscious of the thick diaper between her legs and that she had lost a lot of her adult education in the regression process.
Gem toddled up to her Aunty happy and keen to see Saffy as she had been told Saffy was coming round. Gem was a very shy very scared little squirrel, but she liked her cousin Saffy. She looked around for her 25 year old cousin but quickly felt quite confused when she instead noticed a skunk close to her age. She felt herself get shy and she buried herself behind her mummy's legs. Her mummy chuckled.
“Ooh Gemmy. It's Saffy. No reason to be scared. She got little like you so that she could play with you properly” Gem's ears flattened as she cautiously peaked out from behind her parental barrier to look at the toddler skunk who seemed unimpressed by what was going on. She looked up at her Mommy and Gem's Mommy nodded encouragingly.
“I have to get Saffy ready for bed is it okay if I use Gem's nursery to get her changed” Saffy's Mom asked. Gem's Mom nodded.
“Please, be my guest.”
Saffy was led upstairs, all the way, her heart sank. She did like Gem, but she liked Gem better when she had been an adult rather than a playmate.
“Mom. I really don;t wanna be here” She spoke in a hushed whisper. Her Mom just chuckled.
“awww Sweetie. You'll have a whale of a time. Your dad and I have a restaurant booked tonight so Aunty Kim and uncle Simon are going to look after you for the night. We'll be back in the morning”
Saffy shook her head as she was led into Gems nursery and her Mom picked her up to lay her on Gem's changing table.
“Mom. You can leave me in our house by myself. I may be small but I’m still an adult. I can take care of myself”
her mom chuckled more.
“sweetie, you've soaked your diaper and you're sucking your thumb, an adult wouldn't do that now would she?”
Saffy hadn't even realised she'd been sucking her thumb and she quickly pulled her paw out of her mouth as her Mom started untapping her sodden diaper. A few wipes later and a liberal sprinkling of baby powder and Saffy's Mom went over to gems diaper supply and pulled one from an open pack. Saffy sat up on the changing table indignantly.
“MOM! That's one of Gem's baby diaper. I'm not wearing that! “ Saffy whined as she blushed. Her mom simply rolled her eyes.
“If you hadn't noticed, you ARE a baby Saffy.”
Saffy looked down at the changing table and felt hot tears prickling her eyes. She wasn't a baby. She wasn't like Gem. Not in the slightest.
“I'm....a toddler..not a baby. I'm way older than Gem” She mumbled. Saffys Mom smiled reassuringly.
“yes you are a toddler now. But I forgot to bring your supplies so Gem;s diapers will have to do i'm afraid for now” Saffy's mom spoke apologetically as she taped her regressed daughter into the brightly coloured baby diaper.
“Whose a cute wittle skunkie? Are you? ARE you?” Saffys mom cooed at Saffy and tickled the regressed adult skunks paws, causing the skunk to momentarily feel mortified and then mentally regress a little accepting the praise and squirm happily on the changing table waving her paws up to her mommy, an indication she wanted to be picked up. Her mom picked her up and hugged her tightly as Saffy babbled incoherently for a while, chattering in baby talk quite contentedly. It seemed the more she wa babied, the younger Saffy acted. It was something Saffy's mom enjoyed doing.
Soon the mother and child were back downstairs.
“You play nicely with Gem okay? Look after her and show us what a big girl you can be. Okay?” Saffy's mom said as she kissed Saffy on the forehead. And behave for you aunty and uncle. I'll be back in the morning to pick you up sweetie. Be good okay!”
With a quick hug Saffy watched her mom leave.
Saffy turned her attention to Gem, who had been subdued and rather scared of the regressed Skunk. Saffy smiled gently at Gem. Gem was always scared of everything but normally when Saffy came round for a visit the squirrel would always climb onto her lap and get a cuddle. Gem wasn't usually shy of Saffy and Saffy felt a little bit sad that her regression had seemed to make Gem wary of her. She felt the need to fix that.
“Yoo wanna play?” Saffy asked feeling a little anxious and a bit shy herself as she stood there in her blouse and baby diaper. Gem stared with her big wide eyes, almost on the brink of tears for the longest of times and then eventually gently nodded. Saffy smiled.
Saffy carefully took Gem's paw and led her to the nursery where they played with building blocks and toys for quite a while. Saffy really got into it and soon she had forgotten all her worries. Gem too had warmed to Saffy quickly and together the two of them were giggling and having a great time playing make believe games. The sun went down and it got dark. Uncle Simon came and turned on a night light.
“20 more minutes girls then we have to get you both ready for beddie bye byes okay” Saffy looked up at the clock, annoyed that whilst she could see the numbers on the clock face she no longer had the knowledge to actually remember what the numbers meant, but she had a sneaky suspicion that it wasn't the 11pm bedtime that she was used to. Being a toddler had serious drawbacks, and bed times at 7pm was one of them. She looked over at the night light Uncle Simon had just turned on.
Suddenly she had an idea.
“Hey Gem wanna see shadow puppets!”
Gem nodded, feeling completely relaxed with her new playmate. She liked cousin Saffy when she had been bigger,but now that cousin Saffy was almost the same age as her it was nice to finally have a playmate.
Saffy started making shapes on the wall using shadows and the light from the night light, it was really good fun and she suddenly found herself feeling really happy and carefree as she made several shapes on the wall using her paws. None of them really resembled anything but Saffy used her imagination puling her further and further into childish thoughts. She made up whole stories using the shadow paw shapes on the wall. She got so engrossed she hadn't realised the shadows were scaring Gem until Gem let out a loud wail and burst into tears,
Immediately Saffy stopped what she was doing and waddled over to Gem. Felling confused.
“Gem wats wrong?”
Gem snuffled and buried her face in her paws” The shadow monsters were gonna get me” She sobbed quietly into her paws as she shook slightly. Saffy wasn't one for affection but carefully, Saffy pulled Gem into a hug and together they sat on the floor hugging one another as Gem cried softly for a little while and then exhausted by her crying fell asleep with her head rested on Saffy's shoulder. Saffy had to admit to herself that she too was tired and felt her eyelids getting heavy.
15 minutes later Aunty Kim came up to the nursery to get the two girls undressed for their bedtime bath when she entered the nursery and found the two cubs curled up together sleeping on top one of another. Her heart melted at the sight. And she fetched a camera and quietly took a couple of picture. Forgoing the bath, she undressed both of them changed their soaked diapers and put them both in footed sleepers, then put them side by side in Gem's crib. Being careful and gentle in all of her tasks so as not to wake the pair.
“sweet dreams Gem, Sweet dreams Saffy. Sleep tight” She said in a whispered tone as she softly pulled the nursery door further closed. Letting the cousins sleep.

Fankyoo for the compliment, altho looking at this picture now that its not 3am in the morning and im not sleep deprived I can see tonnes of bits wrong with this and bits I need to clean up. I should really stop submitting artwork so evry late at night. I appreciate the comment though
