One of those "creative itch" ideas I've had for a while, turning Nick Domnall into a critter. He seems to have gotten the shortest straw when it comes to transformation--Dominic Wolff transforms into a horned hellhound, Teresa Coyatawne gets to turn into a were-coyote, Dominic Mephitto gets to transform into a horned skunk monster, even a less relevant character like Badger Roland can change into a roid-rage badger monster, but Nick Domnall gets to turn into a literal trash bandit...
Not exactly sure *how* he'd find himself turned into a critter, probably some cliche "found a cursed artifact while rummaging through the trash" thing, but I feel like in his critter form he'd still fit in quite well with Damijan, Tino, and Phoenix despite likely lacking any sort of magical abilities outside of being a talking raccoon that needs glasses.
Find Me On:
FurAffinity ◈ Weasyl ◈ Ko-Fi ◈ Inkbunny
Can I tag/categorize this sort of thing as "transformation" if the transformation is merely implied and not depicted? Probably not.

This form would have a few advantages, though... turning into an unassuming critter instead of some sort of monster gives him quite the stealth boost, since he is smaller and can climb and squeeze into smaller spaces, and even if he is spotted by somebody, he's just a raccoon. False alarm!
I am reminded of various games where a larger character has a small companion that helps them solve puzzles and whatnot, and imagine that Dominic Mephitto and Nick Domnall would make an excellent parody of that trope, once they get around the awkwardness of being besties since middle school but now one is basically a pet/familiar/animal sidekick riding on the others' back.

While he seems annoyed, embarrassed, and disappointed with his rather underwhelming transformation, I'm sure he'll make the best of it.
I quickly figured out that turning into a critter instead of a monster would have a lot of advantages--massive stealth boost since even if he's spotted, he's just a raccoon, and now he can climb and fit into smaller spaces than he could as a demihuman.
