carnivorous pikminicus
This pikmin was discovered in a flying insect infested jungle, mostly of a smaller variety of shearwigs. It doesn't fertilize from nectar, it feeds off of insects instead. Through extensive analysis I've discovered that it uses camoflage and a sweet substance in its stem to attract prey. The leaf of this pikmin is covered in a fuzzy substance that, when proded, will secrete a sticky fluid and curl in and out quickly. The bud of this pikmin has a gelatinous nectar like fluid inside, with a hole on the top of the bud, I presume to allow insects an entrance to its demise. The flower variant has a pored center, with slightly teethed petals, when prey touched the pored center, the petals furl up and start to gurgle and churn about. Louie is attempting , unsuccessfully, to harvest the gelatinous "bug bait" to use to lure and catch various native insects for culinary purposes.
