When Gabriela made up the story that she was a rare bunny breed called the Lesser Dunian Burrowing Rabbit, it had been a great cover for actually being a goblin.
Her ears were pretty big and that's pretty rabbit-esque!
But with the internet being more of a thing, more people had been looking up the Lesser Dunian Burrowing Rabbit (also called a goblin rabbit) out of curiosity. And while Gabriela had taken to vandalizing online encyclopedias with totally legitimate articles about the supposed species, she wondered whether there was a better way.
A way to get more people to just take her extensive lie at face value.
So Gabriela decided to use the internet for something other than spreading false information. She did research. How to appear more like a Rabbit.
And auto-complete did its thing and suggested "how to look like Jessica Rabbit" instead.
After the change in look, Gabriela considered it a mixed success. She wasn't sure how the new look was supposed to be more rabbit-esque. But she got much fewer follow-up questions about the Lesser Dunian Burrowing Rabbit when she wore it and a hell of a lot more staring and drooling.
And someone busy ogling wasn't busy poking holes in her cover story!

This was another win from a Maty raffle. Where the winner is spun on a wheel, the winner chooses a character, and then the theme is spun.
The theme was "Jessica Rabbit cosplay" or something like that. A particularly lucky spin since I'd chosen Gabriela as my sacrifice and she's got her narrative thing about pretending to be a rabbit.
Don't think too hard about how Jessica Rabbit, hot cartoon woman, works in what I've established of my setting so far. Just stare deep into the infinite cleavage and be too distracted to care about inconsistencies.
