Do bare it in mind, I had to step back from the comic pledge level of her patreon for a bit, and had only recently gotten back on the pledge, so the delay is on me that these post were on hiatus. I hadn't forgotten, just had to wait for the chance to get back on the pledge. Hoping to remain without any unforeseen reason not to keep pledging, so this comic and future comic ideas can keep being given to you all.
I am a Navy veteran myself. One reason I had this comic as Navy, was because I had been in the Navy.
Bare in mind, I am not an orphan in real life. I only had that part included for my OC, so it didn't feel like the moms were kidnapping him from his own family.
Glad you enjoy the series.

If this baby formula is going to do what I think it's going to do, this, as weird as it would be, is something a military organization might do. If this serum regresses the person down to a child, erasing mental faculties and essentially resetting them, the military itself could then control and manipulate the children into becoming the best soldiers possible by modeling them in specific ways, retraining them to be loyal and deadly fighters, but not only that they will be young, which make them adaptive and quick studies all over again.
Now, these military service training might come much later after the "baby," and its caretakers get a familial bond that makes it easier to manipulate the "baby" into performing otherwise emotionally and physically difficult tasks.
But this idea would be if the story went down a much darker, more demented path, which I don't think Babystar is willing to do, but hey, it does make sense in some regard and why it gets so well funded. A baby formula that could reset someone's age would be sought after by everyone in the world as a new fountain of youth, and if it doesn't do this, then it could be used as a chemical weapon to debiliate enemies.

Just got to seeing this comment today, and just to let you know, being the one who commissioned the comic, I don't have any intention of ever having this comic have something dark and twisted going on in the background. Just a comic about willing age regression and being babied, rather than forced, like in the cases of other comics and art.
I do have have reasons, being a vet of the U.S. Navy, that I'd have to disagree with your assessment about the military, on that darker path you described, but that would be a very lengthy explanation as to why I have my reasons for disagreeing. It is mainly due to moral standards and articles of the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
But, anyways, like I said, this comic, will not delve into darker paths. Just be a cute regression comic, with a happy ending.

Well, this is your comic, and not everything has to be realistic, but I do have to disagree with you about the moral standards part. The military serves to protect the nation and all foreign assets, if a serum like this was ever real and actually did the things that regress a person, I'm sorry, but it would get abused immediately. The moment this experimental product was determined to have these effects or more, it would be stripped from any book or program and used in bids to help wealthy people and pull in extra funding to other programs because people don't want to die if there is a chance to live. My idea has nothing to do with morals because they wouldn't exist. It has everything to do with money and an abuse of power.
Do you also realize how powerful this would be as a weapon if it could be turned into some distilled smoke grenade? It wouldn't regress the enemies, but it might do enough where to demoralize them; it wouldn't be too different from the urban myth of the brown note that people tried to create to do the same thing. It would be considered a chemical weapon, which would be banned in some regard, but it could be debated since it didn't physically poison to kill but incapacitated and demoralized enemy troops and acts no differently to a stun grenade, which is in some cases worse because it can damage hearing.
And I'm sorry, but I'd stand by my idea when it comes to the training of agents because it doesn't just have to be the military. It could be different branches of government, like the CIA, that would use it in that regard, or as a non-lethal torture technique to get information out of the enemy who ever that may be, because not everyone wants to loose their mental faculties, control of their bodily functions, or be treated like a child forced to ask for help to do anything. The threat of just coddling a terrorist and forcing them to live out a life as a child could be demoralizing enough for someone to spill their guts without ever having to physically hurt them.
Even if a serum that wasn't used in that regard existed, and existed more passively, and instead was used as a military incentive to retain troops or help them recover, in much as the same regard would once again be abused because this would be a miracle drug that could radically increase your life span, it would turn whatever government had it, into a superpower as it would be on every poster, every flyer, and so many people would flock to joining the military that the military would be put in a position of power to pick and choose who they wanted, and forcing people to "Get Good" or give up and walk away. This drug could be used to manipulate the entire nation into doing what the military said if they wanted to live longer lives.
Because, once again, no one wants to die, and you can put money down on that, and if people have the chance to live their lives over and over again, they will, and they will do anything and everything to make sure that they don't die.

Being that this is fictional, I don't want to take it down a very dark road to where regression is used as a way to be dictators to the world.
Again, I have my reasons, based on the articles of the UCMJ, that I don't agree about how the military might use it. Can't say I disagree on the CIA or other agencies though. But thankfully, we never have to find out what those agencies would do.
And honestly, while earlier pages did hint this was military funded, I would base it more towards, helping soldiers, both of ours and other countries, with PTSD, and other beneficial methods, that don't go down dark roads, but all voluntary of course, given full knowledge of what the formula does. No sneaking up and regression forcefully happens.

Yeah, I can understand that this is a commission, and it's really your choice on how to take it, but as I'm reading this comic, and as you clearly see, I see the darker side of what this kind of comic means. I see how things connect together and want to express that this is something that can happen and that there are very dark and demented storylines that can come from this comic. I'm really trying to express that these ideas are possible and at least reasonable, so if anyone wants to take the ideas for themselves and write their own story or create their own fantasy they can. Because not everyone is into bright colors and playful games, some like more gritty stories that have emotional conflict and espionage.
But I do want to say one last thing; to deny the possibility that these can't happen even in the military, denies the nature of free will itself. Everyone has different goals, histories, and problems; just because you are morally upstanding, doesn't mean the next person over is; some might believe these moral codes are nothing but guidelines, lines drawn in the sand, not stone. The military has been shown to do very dark, demented things to people as well, top secret projects exposed to the public decades later, chemical warfare, inhuman drug experiments, take your pick; no branch of the government is exempt from doing dark and demented things. So, to say that these ideas are unreasonable, if not improbable, because of a code of conduct, you are ignoring how terrible people can be when they choose to do the wrong thing for their own gain. People, anyone, can be an angel or a devil, but it's how they act, and what they choose to do, that determines who they really are.

So, I will clear this up on my end. I merely state that the military, as a whole, would not have the dark stuff fly willy nilly in their ranks. Yes, I do agree there are some parts of the military that have worked on projects so secret, even if you had the clearance level, you'd probably not be given an invitation to see what's happening, and they work on these projects based off the question "can they do it?" and ignoring the question "should they do it?" I agree no branch of government is exempt from dark things happening in their branch.
I wasn't clear, when I was disagreeing, and that's on me. I was disagreeing about saying "all" of military would use this for dark purposes, that's the part I don't agree with. But I do agree that some military areas would work on the dark stuff and keep it from being known to the bulk of the standard military that is out there everyday, at home and abroad. And trust me, I've seen some of the darker stuff, still considered to be allowed in warfare, happen on the other side of the world. Stuff that I'd rather not talk about.
As for the whole seeing the dark stuff that could happen in the comic, I understand why, and I can't change how people think that way, and yes, I understand that there are some who like the more darker story that they think could come out of it. And I've seen some of the darker tales. Some make it good, some don't. But, the comic itself, again, is being kept on the lighter side of things, so, if anyone was expecting a dark turn of events in the comic, sorry, but that's not a path that the comic is gonna take.
