Oh, FA still re-sizes images down to the 1280 limit. You have to click 'change submission file' under the image and reupload it. However, the most common screen resolutions are around 1280x1024 and 1440x900. If it's longer than the horizontal size, less people are likely to view the whole image. Scrolling up and down is one thing, but scrolling horizontally is usually too much work. Especially if you have to piece an image together because it's larger than your screen.
