Chibi myths: Cerberus
Last year we had started a little project called "Myhtober", where each day of October we'd draw the lineart of a chibi mythological creature, and these would have eventually been put all together in a tiny coloring book. In the end we didn't have the time to go through with that, but this doesn't mean we can't revive the project in another form ;)
So expect a little creature to pop up in your feed sometimes, and today's myth is... Cerberus! The famous three headed dog from Ancient Greek mythology that guards the gates of Hades. Cerberus is known both for being captured by Heracles as the last one of his twelve labours, and for his apparition in later media. Over the course of the years, from the Divine Comedy to Harry Potter, his role didn't seem to change one bit from his first description of a huge guard dog! In the past, though, he was also often depicted sporting one or more snake heads on his body, like his sister Chimera!
