They still have a personality! They're a unique individual, but their senses and their reward pathways have been overhauled to compel them to do the work that management engines require them to do.

They probably would if they saw one. But they wouldn't see one because none of the lizard cultures actually call it that. It's an out of fiction term for the planet and setting.
