Bathe in the ligh of a hundred distant twinkling fusion drives, Thieu sits watching small local spacecraft flit around and between behemoth interstellar lightway liners. These are in turn slowly and carefully maneuvering or docked around an utterly gargantuan spaceport like schools of fish swarming around some kind of free floating exotic coral.

With how busy and teeming with life the core systems get, it's sometimes easy to forget just how empty the darkness once was.
