This is what the latest submission looks like when it's split into all its wonderful layery goodness. All done in OC 1.1 and all layers except for the second to last are set to multply. The dark layer is set to add, which is good for lighting. It looks all black, but there are spots of a slightly lighter color and that's all you really need to lighten (in this case). I use seperate layers for shading so that the watercolor won't bleed and so that I can clean them up easier without affecting the other bits of shading by accident.
