Merso Airways SA (Merso-Luftwege AG) was the flag carrier of The republic of Merso, rebranded as Merso Airlines in 2001
Merso airways was originally created in the pre-war era in 1925 its main role was to carry mail from city to city, expanded to carry passengers in 1929
The airline is known to be one of the oldest airlines that are (kind off) still active, despite being rebranded as Merso Airlines in 2001 the aircraft inventory still stayed the same.
the airline livery was last changed in 1955 and even after the rebrand merso airlines still uses the old 1955 livery, after the rebrand the slogan was removed, it used to be "come and fly away with us". in 2010 a internet competition was launched to find a new slogan, there is still no winner for it
the main hub of Merso airlines is at messerschmitt international airport located 20km outside the capital of TRM markan city.
