I'm all caught up now, huzzah! Anyway, a piece of lore I probably haven't mentioned is that Mur are effectively immortal, living until something or someone kills them. Such a long lifespan requires great regenerative abilities. Though it can take months, sometimes years to fully regenerate parts, and so they make do with prosthetics in the meantime until they are whole again.

So this is a mechanical hoof, obviously, awaiting a patient to require its snug embrace.
