Way out at the edge of the Blue River Valley lies a large number of abandoned places. Homes and churches, shops and keeps. The ruins hold a strange nostalgia for the other residents of the valley, despite none of them sharing a history with the places. A reverence of who had come first, and the mystery of where they went, leaves them untouched by most.
To an enterprising young dragon, they were something more. An opportunity, a challenge.
A home.
The restoration of unfamiliar structures was a back-breaking task, monumental in scale to even the sturdiest of beasts. Reighein wasn't foolish enough to claim all of them to himself. No, he let his domain rest upon a simple run-down water mill. It would be a home, it would be a shelter, it would be...just a quite place to rest.
Though work was awkward as it was without strictly humanoid hands, it brought a sense of accomplishment to him. And though there is much work to be done remaining, if you're friendly, perhaps he will show you inside?

This was a wonderful little commission I got from
HeliosDrawrs who was lovely to work with! I love their style, and how happy Reighein seems to be. I don't get much art of my first character, so it was time to show him some more love. This time of the outside of his home!
