This was the very first commission that I ever got. This was done for the Foothill College Anime Club - which would years later would become Fanime. The artist is not really known for doing Furry art but is one of the principal designers of the art on Gaia Online - a personal friend of mine John Kim.
At the time I had ideas about the character but they weren't fully fleshed out. I gave John some guidelines but it was for the most part - artist interpretation.

Yeah, I agree. The hock is a little awkward but I was totally stoked when I first got it. Especially given the fact that before everyone started using flash to do art, John was actually using a structured drawing program to make his drawings. The original file could have been printed poster-sized or larger and still look amazing.
