Well even if just an exercise i love it because it has alot of details to ponder with the bw simple style drawing the observer in.

This is an idea I had a long time back, and felt it was worth revisiting, might go and put some more thought into it =3

They all did, but probably the exhibition boxes, that is just human psychology right there , but out of the others the figure bending down to the other is a powerful scene.

This is so good, I wonder what the person (or people?) in the display case have done.

The people in the display are criminals, but the definition of criminal in this world is quite loose

This is a cool peek into the world through these vignettes. A lot of depth waiting to be explored.

The glass case person exhibits -- are they connected to this piece of yours? I've always thought of it as a personal picture for you, so I am impressed to see you incorporate it into a larger worldbuilding project.

The glass case exhibits are connected, yes! That old drawing never fully left my head so I thought on drawing some more things related to it ^^

I want to do more scenes around the original drawing, but it has to be done slowly, lots of negative emotions around the topic that I have to approach carefully not to burnout ^^;

It's understandable that a sincere and vulnerable personal piece like that cannot be easily turned into a feature of a more detached form of entertainment, which is why I applauded your courage. But proceed at your comfortable pace, of course. Dystopias are hard enough to write and illustrate, as it is.

You have done a terrific job presenting this setting with just one splash page.
The interactions between Pursuers and regular people are chillingly portrayed.
The stark contrast of white, black and red is a powerful stylistic choice, with the hazy grey making everything oppressively dreamlike.
Those little floating rhombuses that accompany the Elites -- I assume they are assistant droids of some sort?

Extremely late reply, but I wanted to get back to your question, the floating things next to the elites are in a way an extra pair of eyes for them, but they can also serve as assistants to interface with technology such as electronic doors and computers among other things. The elites are very distrustful and employ these devices to gain a sense of safety, even if it is not real
