There was a singer, who is still alive today, by the name of Bobby Goldsboro. His biggest hits occurred in the 1960s and 1970s.
I used one of his songs (altered a bit) in The Beach Bears Story, "Watching Scotty Grow".
But by far, Bobby Goldsboro's greatest hit was a song called simply, "Honey".
I was reminded of this song on Sunday, and in the mood I was in, I knew I had to sing it, to get the sad out.
Oh, and you talk about sad... This song is so full of love and sadness, there was one, and one one person who could do it for me -- Stargazer. And I think he did it justice.
You try listening to it and not crying.
Backing track purchased on http://www.karaoke-version.com. Original song written by Bobby Russell.
