BW Concept art for a MUSH (Multi-user Shared Hallucination) character named Bahamut. His full name is Hana Kou-un Bahamut.
Bahamut is a 7-foot-tall anthropomorphized Salamence with an appearance derived (or ripped off) from the garb of Sephiroth from Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children. His name was also ganked from Final Fantasy, though his coloration is purple and red, like the Final Fantasy 8 version.
He also has a weapon based on the Masamune that Sephiroth used in FF7. It is essentially a mostly-straightened-out odachi that measures about ten feet long with a three-foot grip.
Yes, that's a pokeball design on his big, fat, belt buckle.
This thing was a pain to ink in simply for the fact that I happened to sketch up this great doodle on rough sketch paper and ended up liking it enough to actually lay ink on it. Of course, the steel-tipped Koh-I-Noor Rapidograph pens I use shred this stuff like a cat on a curtain. I might yet color it.
Rapidograph pens on 11"x14" sketch paper.
Also, as much for my own reference as well as a good jaw-drop for you guys, I present to you the Norimitsu Odachi: http://japantrip.tripod.com/nodachi/norimitsu.html
