Jane's right tho! SARS-CoV-2 never 'takes' the form of a cell they know well. It's always a stranger which somehow entered Murray's body via either a recent blood transfusion or a stem cell donation, and always wants the real cells to come with him. The abducted cells are then either never seen again or they are found dead and have a huge wound on their belly, which indicates that SARS-CoV-2's pups recently bud from them. Most cells are aware of this trickery and thus they're more on guard regarding strangers. Yet, a lot of cells are being infected still, because they either still fall for this trick... or, maybe the virus is using a plan B?

Virus Attack is a webcomic about COVID-19 and how the human immune system fights this disease. The microbe character designs are based on animals, but with traits of the actual microbes. Keep in mind that this comic is mostly fantasized, so not everything is exactly like in the real world, though I try to stay as faithful to true facts as I possibly can.
