I commissioned  Sefeiren for some sketches, and this is one of them. Thanks, Sef!

This is an establishing sketch with a quick color splash. Meet Lizanne! She's a Superb Lyrebird, and she came all the way here from her home town of Sydney.

Lizanne has a slight build, and doesn't wear clothing except for bracelets and her favorite hat. Her feathers are just fluffy enough to keep things covered up, and her petite bust is almost but not quite swallowed up by them. She doesn't have the crazy lyrebird tail feathers, since only the males of the species do.

Sef has the ability to pluck characters out of my mind and bring them to life on paper. They show up just about exactly as I have them pictured, with very few revisions, and Lizanne is no exception. This is an awesome ref, and it's the first time she's ever even been drawn. I especially like her birdyfeet, her body type, and the slightly scruffy short feathers that suggest hair. Her eyes are blue, because I think it contrasts nicely with her brown feathers, and because the normally solid black lyrebird eyes are freaky.
