Ok, so we now see that the All Mother of the enclave banished little feet and now they seem to have become this travelling group searching for somewhere to survive. This All Mother is the All Mother of the banished ones. She's very pretty by the way. Shard? Please tell me if I'm wrong so far.
The one thing in all of this that doesn't surprise me is Life. It totally makes sense that a Yinglet with his protective nature would be out here with the exiles, doing everything in his power to keep them alive and well.
