As the sun set, glowing crimson like a melevolent eye gazing down upon the world the dark brooding clouds were pierced by the ebon form of a great raven whos wings were as wide and thunderous as a man o war's sails who dove like a falling arrow down to the earth, a black shadow on the wing. The forboding figure spread wide his wings and landed there upon that rocky shore...
He stared out at the setting sun, his icy blue single eye seeming unfazed by the brightness, as if shielded by the deep shadows that lay within.
"i have little time" the raven spoke and lifted his head to point his razor beak at the sky "Shvock kassnotem!" he intoned. The great body of sable shifted and flowed like the waters of the deep and there, outlined in the blazing crimson of the dying day rose a beast both raven and man.
He grounded his staff in the hard ground and once more looked into the sun.
