Since there's been some discussion recently about the value of a decent background, I figured I'd go ahead and post some of my own background work.

This is a "set" I've been working on for Issue 5 of COBALT. It's the downstairs lounge, in Cobalt's skypad. I took a lot of inspiration from the architectural work of John Lautner, most notably in the two sofa designs. (His "chemosphere" house was also partial inspiration for the skypad itself.) http://www.johnlautner.net

It still needs a few pieces of bric-a-brac as set dressing, but this room is mostly ready for "filming."

And yes, that is a Val Kyrie original hanging above the sofa. Y'gotta have art.
