Haven't we all gotten in an elevator then it goes the opposite way you thought it would? This is my take on it if I were a bit more neurotic. I'm not quite that way at all, no I'm not. But yes, I come up with things in panel #3 (well the words, at least).
Not too long ago, this happened to someone at work (and I'm actually the "rabbit" in this story), but she thought it was kind of funny and didn't take it like I portrayed.
The bird like creature in the third panel is a reverse platypus (body of a duck and head of a beaver), BTW.
