Good gosh dang, I'm late on this.

Like, really really late. I say this as someone who finished putting this together at the beginning of February and it's just now the start of October. I'm really sorry it's taken me this long to finally get this uploaded, I had been meaning to all year long, but perhaps the biggest reason it took me so long was the loss of my Grandma shortly after this was finished. It's been a very difficult year, and as of this upload, I'm currently working on getting both my DeviantArt and FurAffinity libraries caught up on uploads, and I decided that this one would come next before I upload more to the latter (I'm almost two years behind on uploads there).

It also makes writing about 2022 alot less geniune since we're almost done with 2023. What I do remember is feeling a bit of art block around the beginning of the year, but my creative drive that was with me through most of 2021 kept me going. It was certainly near the end of 2022 that I really lost it, as you can see with the type of drawings I did for November and December.

I do my best to strive for quality and for in-depth descriptions. I want people to be able to really dig into why I make what I do and how much I have fun with ideas. For the past couple of years, I've had three art summaries go up that goes into my creative process for each, what I was feeling at the time. Considering how tardy I am on uploading this, I don't feel that I can be as genuine as I wanted to if I had done this at the start of the year. As you can see, this time around included multiple dates, as I started finishing drawings the day they were drawn. Alot of sketches were started and never finished, staying on my iPad until a day came later that I would finish them. It was definitely around the end of 2022 where my energy to draw quickly slipped away, that I practically forced myself to draw something for November and December just to make sure I could still finish another full year of art. I'm still proud that I could! I thought things weren't going to start well with how late I started drawing something for my friend's birthday, but it really kicked off after that.

Anyway, that's what 2022 looked like for me. I hope everyone has been enjoying what I've been making this year, despite how separated it's been. I'll have something to reminisce about when the end of the year rolls around and I'll have the 2023 edition to upload. See you then!
