I realize no one actually asked for this but I feel like if I had put this option in a poll, it never would have gotten any votes but it’s an idea I’ve had for a while and I just wanted to make it and get it over with. I know sphinxes aren’t the most popular monster girls but they’ve been a part of mythology as long as ones like centaurs and harpies so I think they deserve some love too.

It’s true that Malva isn’t exactly the most well-known Poké Girl (honestly, does anyone here actually remember her?) but she’s really one of the only female characters from Kalos (not counting Serena of course) who I thought would make for a good PokéMonster Girl.

You see, when creating one of these PokéMonster Girls, I want to use a Pokémon that is either closely associated with the trainer that is being featured, or at least is one that they have on their team. (In the case of the player characters, I want to use Pokémon that are native to the region the character debuted in.)

While looking through the list of female characters from Kalos, none of the Pokémon that they had on their teams really struck me as ones that would work well as basis for a monster girl. That is, except for Malva. In case you don’t remember, she’s one of the Kalos Elite Four and is a fire type specialist and two of the Pokémon she has on her team are Pyroar and Talonflame.

I had been thinking about making a Sphinx drawing for a while, and Pyroar seemed like the best choice for the body and since Malva has one on her team, that made her the perfect candidate. Plus, Sphinxes usually have wings, and since Malva also has a Talonflame on her team that just made it all the more perfect.
