Pic info: OMFG!!! This pic took so long because can you believe it but i used shadows! Don't worry lovelies the world isn't ending just yet. But i did use shadows and they don't look half bad. The one reason i never use them is because i do not have a tablet so any and all shadowing must be done by mouse. It is not easy to do them by mouse. The pic took about 3 hours to color because of the shadows and about 15 to 45 minuets to draw. Now if you don't know this i draw my pictures by hand then scan them. After they are scanned i digitize the pic. That takes about 45 minuets to an hour. Well i hope you guys like it. FEED BACK IS WELCOME!!!! Well other than that enjoy.
Xeaka stood at her lab table her antennas twitching from time to time. She had been trying to find a cure for that Vortian illness for weeks now but every time she got close it always slipped her grasp. Being as she was Irken some may have thought it odd that she was working on a cure at all. But her reasons were pure and nothing more.
Looking down at her info once more she went wide eyed then smiled as she realized what she was missing. In a quick motion she added the missing ingredient then smiled as it did as it needed to and destroyed the virus that was causing the illness that was killing countless Vortians. With a smile the Irken scientist walked across her lab to get a stabilizer for the vaccine. As she was picking up the vail that held the stabilizer she heard a odd sound then whipped around just in time to see the vaccine that she had been working on for months explode in a fiery spin. The force of the explosion sent her flying into a wall and knocked her out cold.
When she came to she noticed her lab was still filled with smoke and burning in places. Another thing she noticed was that she felt odd. Looking down at herself she froze then screamed. Being as her lab was sound proof the scream went unheard. Looking down at her hand she realized it was the hand of a Vortian. Inspecting herself further she noticed she herself was completely Vortian.
Still in a panic she slowly stood and found her way to the vent switch. Quickly flipping it she fell back to the floor as the smoke drained from the room. She inspected herself agin and realized the fire must have torched her lab coat because she was wearing nothing at all. A blush lit up her bridge as she begin to think.
Before she could try to figure out what to do the door of her lab slid open and Rea'x walked in. He looked around for a bit then spotted her on the floor. Running over to her he tossed a blanket on her to give her at least some modesty. "Oh my. Um i don't know what you are doing in Xeaka's lab young one but she..........Xeaka!?!?" Rea's confusion was higher than Xeaka's as she pulled the blanket, a soft pink lab blanket, around her and stood. Looking into Rea's odd pink and purple eyes she studdered but managed to say "Rea i-i'm scared, a-and i don't know what happened."
Rea'x walked over to her and pulled her into a hug as he patted her back. "Don't worry Xeaka" He said in a voice that would calm even the most fussy smeet "Everything will be okay. Just think, now that you are a Vortian you wont have to report in to the tallest. You wont have to do what ever they tell you, and for the first time in almost 8 years you have all three fingers on your left hand." Smiling he took her left hand into his and showed it to her. "See all three and your scars are gone. As far as anyone knows we can fake your death so nobody has to know. Kezon has been a rebel sense he was a smeet so don't worry"
Smiling to herself Xeaka buried her head into Rea's chest and said "Your right. This is the first time in a long time that i can be free. No rules no tallest no red. No one to tell me what to do." She looked up into Rea's eyes "But you are going to have to help me. I can bearly walk and i cant speak a word of Vortain."
Giggling Rea'x looked at her "Honey neither can i"
