That's closer to the truth. Watch video some time of an orca flipping a seal about 60 feet into the air - with the upstroke of their tail. Now imagine the downstroke. (Though it is weaker than the upstroke, it ain't by much). That's pretty much what you got when Draconia lowered the boom on the head henchman. I wouldn't be surprised if that thoroughly stunned him.
He's going to wake up in the last place he expected - or ever wanted - to be.

Virtually any predator large enough to swallow their prey whole will do so, because it is the quickest and most efficient way to consume it. If the arm was torn off, it would take more time to eat the prey, and all of the nutritious blood would be wasted as well. It would also be convenient for sapient predators to leave no visible trace of their predation, lest it alert and frighten subsequent prey.
Absolutely makes sense. Just, with her current belly occupant, I didn't consider she'd be having another. I was looking at it more under normal attacking, I guess.
However, I assume, that boi isn't gonna remain outside long, once she lets her favorite treat back out, so that makes sense. XP

50/50, It so far kinda just, power trips without cohesive reasoning (still, since now they're entirely completely ignoring the electric shock that previously affected them severely), I get they're a dragon, but it flip flops around a bit like that in a way that doesn't appeal entirely. Similarly their 'ally' has been threatened on several occasions, swallowed entirely, and witnessed her kill his coworkers, which would more reasonably distance him from it earlier on (got betrayed, but prior to this), even if he did want to know whatever was going on, it's not entirely worth the perceived cost that would have been seen at that point. Now, I have followed similar content where there's an 'apex predator' type of deal or the like, but those comics often were handled more 'seriously' if you can understand what I mean, character development and all. I suppose it, here, kinda hasn't hit anything except the vore department, which is part of the intention, true, but it labeled itself early on as a kind of "this is why she's the Dark Dragon" to paraphrase it, except as of yet the only development is that she was captured by what amounts to an aimhacker merc/science group (who later was incapable of hitting her immobile from closer distances, and well, got thrown by a 5'# tall, slender, scientist getting her out of the way... and actually managed it) and was recaptured which we're seeing the result of here. Tl;dr I am strangely judgmental and take things too seriously guwa-
