Best way to figure it out is by looking at the structure of the human body. Wherever you see the tailbone situated on a human skeletal structure is where a tail should technically attach for an anthropomorphic being. Some people stylistically draw the tails much higher, above the base of the glute muscles, but thats by choice for style, wasn't sure if you wanted to or not but; http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_rTCf7kvE8.....0/tailbone.jpg as depicted in this picture you can see the tailbone is much lower, and thusly a tail should actually come out from between the rump cheeks near the top of the glute muscles. If in doubt, feel your own tailbone for positioning! Hope that helps man :)
