I've been drawing traditionally for a while now and after having watched
milligramsmile again on stream recently I decided to dust off my wacom and give Paint Tool Sai another try.
The programme was a lot more fun and easy to use than I last remembered and as such I really enjoyed drawing this.
I wouldn't call this finished as I really want to try to "ink" it, colour it and maybe add some clothing [never drawn that.] However my attempts at "inking" this have been.... well awful frankly. I have no clue how to do that yet so for now I just wanna get this up to show I'm still trying.
I really wanted to do this as a birthday gift for a certain tiger tomorrow but I'm still not at the stage yet where such a thing is possible, as such this is relegated to being Random McJoe.
When doing this I did the head first, then added the neck and shoulders , later I added the "skeleton" and head circles to try and see if I was getting the proportions even close to right.... still not sure but I think it's close.
This will be moved to scraps soon.

Hehe, thankies ^_^
Maybe someday I might, once I learn to be consistent and learn different poses and angles.
Right now I'm just trying to draw a still, the frame/skeleton was just to add a basic framework to check proportions and that is made sense. [Or instance that's the second chest I did, first looked nice but odd and when I checked proportions and where it joined other limbs I realised it didn't go low enough down the torso.

Still, I wanna be able to draw fully without cut and paste first [rather get the complex down then take shortcuts to save time later than to not learn the complex :3]
Yep, it can do layers [only reason I gave it another shot after so long.... I'd be lost without my layers when working digitally ^_^.]
So far I've not found anything I used in photoshop or paint shop that it doesn't have [really didn't use much at all beyond multiply and layers]..... is what I typed a few minutes ago before rechecking the programme.... Found one thing that I use that's missing and it's kinda a big thing. There's no "soft light" layer option that I can find. This is something I'd use for shadows and highlights [black would darken the colours below and white would lighten.] The closest I can find is overlay but that actually turns some stuff completely white/black but darken/lighten other things it's not consistant for me and without that I don't think I'll be moving over to Sai [plus I can't buy it.]
