LOL I just... made her design up as I drew a comic today. She turned out adorable, so I had to draw her again. Initially I thought about making her scary but didn't quite succeed but whatever!
I find parasitoid wasps to look quite beautiful even though their reproductive cycle is quite terrifying. x3
Poor Harvestman in the corner there.

I really like this character. Specifically for the simple head shape and lack of visible mouth, except when VERY angry, of course.
The reason this appeals to me is because this leaves just her eyes to display her emotion, and you've done amazingly well in this series of images displaying those emotions using just her eyes. I love it!

Hymenopterans have the best head shapes. She's like, minimally anthropomorphised and relies on simplicity. XD
Originally I thought about just making a silhouette but I thought dark features (or lack thereof) looked best on her, I decided to leave it that way. x3 Wasps can also have some pretty funky-looking eyes...

Yeah, wasps, in nature, often look eternally pissed...like every day is just a bad day & they're mad all the time.
Add to that the constant moving mandibles, and it looks like they're grumpy & muttering angrily to themselves. Kinda cute & funny...when they aren't trying to sting you. ;P
I enjoy wasps from a distance...in photos, vids, art...or when one is on the other side of my windows, so I can see them up close and live, whilre remaining sting free.

By the way is this based off a jewel wasp? I figured that's what is was when I first saw, but just assumed.
If so you should give her a roach husband. He thinks she loves him, but really she is just gonna make him a host. I'm not good at writing stories, but hopefully you get what I'm going for. I think it would be cute.
