Girl has not been to church if she hasn't sung since primary school. Either that, or she's from a family who thinks singing should be reserved for the choir. (Yeah, I don't like that kind of church-goer, either. )

Thanks, it it Gregorian Choral in German, I just took this 1:1. Learned something new today.
Singing in churches varies greatly. In the UK, very often the choir is the only one singing apart from a single time. Like the famous evensongs e.g. from Cambridge. (Been there and indeed, the choir does the work there.) Furthermore, in most parts of Europe and Asia, the number of churchgoers so small, it is indeed unlikely a random person is a churchgoer (less than 3% of the population of protestants in Germany, and most of them are the elderly.) So likely indeed no regular churchgoer after the mandatory one year during confirmation. Well, guessed. ;)
