So Elixir is Ombro's partner in crime, using his smarts to steal all of the treasures hidden in the mazes and sell the them to the black market for parts. He and Ombro often face off two-on-two with Reptu and his treasure-hunting partner Impax at various brain games. Reptu and Impax have some serious competition facing possibly the two smartest species on the planted, an elephant and a dolphin.

The genius he is, Elixir gets his name from being a chemist, mixing up all kinds of potions for him and Ombro to use, like a medicine to make their bones super strong so they can ram through the walls of the mazes. The way Elixir decided to become a chemist was when he was young and some criminals kidnapped him and sawed off part of his tusk to use for medicinal purposes. To save his other tusk, Elixir agreed to fabricate the medicines himself, learning chemistry quite quickly. And now he uses his chemistry knowledge to benefit himself and Ombro to cheat through the physical portions of the mazes, because they think treasure hunting should be based solely on smarts.

As for his personality, he's very candid and organized. He and Ombro have a funny dynamic where Ombro will want to get something done, but Elixir thinks of this obscure detail that will go wrong and annoyed Ombro sighs and listens to him:
"Um, Ombro. Before you walk on Reptu's roof to steal his journal, you might want to put shoes on your flippers so you don't slip off."
