A few more photos from last weekend's local car show.
Clockwise from Upper Left:
A late-model Dodge Charger with the "Grinch" option package; Grinch Green !
If this 1968 Dodge Charger R/T were black instead of red, it would have looked just like the car that stuntman extraordinaire Bill Hickman drove in the legendary car chase with Steve McQueen's green Mustang through San Francisco in the movie "Bullitt".
The cute "Moon Eyes" were on a '32 Ford Street Rod Coupe that looked a lot like the '32 that John Milnor drove in "American Graffiti".
( It's not hard to tell that I'm one of those car-spotting movie fans, is it? )
The exquisite inlaid enamel-and-chrome crossed flags were on an original Inca Silver 1967 Corvette.
Another automotive Crossfolf Camera Presentation.

If I'm not mistaken, Chevrolet used those crossed flags on all of their "Super Sport" models; the Impala, the Chevelle and the Camaro.
On the Corvette, though, the flags were inlaid with genuine Cloisonne through the 1976 model year. I once read that GM paid a luxury tax on every Corvette sold because Cloisonne was classified as jewelry.
Interestingly enough, the 1955 Thunderbird had a similar crossed flags emblem before adopting the stylized Thunderbird emblem from 1956 on.
