I somehow skipped this in my backlog, I think I was intending to put it with the rest of my Subcon Delta art after I'm done, which I'm not so concerned about being chronological order. It's actually appropriate here starting off 2023 because I used it in my portfolio to apply for my 3D Animation Bachelor's degree.

This image was last modified on 22/3/20, during the (in retrospect, surprisingly short) five-month window that my beloved DELiRiUM still had long fall boot heels. Though ze's always given Android GLaDOS, the heels, capitalisation and colours were the only explicit Portal references. She was inspired equally by secretarybirds, "featherless bipeds" (IYKYK), Jeff the Killer, Pokemon professors, and - though I didn't realise it at the time - Compies from Neokosmos. Also, to be frank, I'd already done a lot of drone art and latex stuff on twitter in 2019 so I was prepped for this type of design. I did some banger artworks before realising I preferred zir with nonspecific digitigrade feet, which she has kept ever since. I am still so fond of the hooves look though. Her personality is incredibly far removed from GLaDOS now; I'm aiming for an I love you homage.

I drew this specific side-on because I wanted to think about how ze would look in something approximating a T-pose. Of course, this is not a T-pose, but I always draw references so that all parts of the body are visible at once, as much as can be done.

I've gradually moved to drawing more "realistic" anatomy on Del but I intensely dislike it - this streamlined cartoony look is how she's supposed to be, and I'll be chasing it grumpily til I nail it down again.
