Another of my characters, Arachne Cavaticus. I'm uploading this mostly as a reference for those I may be asking to do more work of her, but I figure I may as well say a little about her. She's literally Arachne from the Greek myths, if the dreaded "what if...?" was allowed to run away with itself:
What if Athena, having shown "mercy" by turning shamed and hanged Arachne into a spider rather than allowing her to die, continued to feel guilt over the girl's fate, but didn't want living proof of her own rash actions running around for all to see? What if Arachne was eventually returned to human form, but sent to a distant time and place with all of her old talents intact, and even augmented by her time as a spider and the touch of Athena's magic? What if, after adjusting to her new situation, she opened a top-notch clothing, fabric, and tailoring store? What if her rather unique perspective on history, coupled with the touch of magic and strong entrepreneurial drive, led to side jobs that got a touch adventurous at times, but were highly lucrative?
Meet Arachne Cavaticus, the stitch witch.

And the spider turned her only blind eye to the pleas of the gnats and flies,
the childish creatures disturbing her web that never said sorry in all of their cries.
She laughed at their pain and she smiled so brightly,
her taught webbing shimmering slightly.
The night was cool and the web shone so sweet
as Arachne the spider ate up her dear treats.
